Playing in the Mass Effect 3 World…

In Latest, Press | on March, 14, 2012 | by | 0 Comments

With the incredibly popular scifi video game Mass Effect 3 having just released and BioWare’s redo of the female Commander Shepard’s (FemShep) appearance last fall, the talk online went to who could play the badass character IRL.  I was so excited to be featured a long side of  some of the most badass actresses in Hollywood! The post was written by Texas based writer / director Mark Gardner (Cell: The Series and the upcoming Weird Girls) and was followed up by some amazing photoshopped pictures of me in the full Mass Effect N7 armor by the talented Shadhavar!  I don’t play the game (yet) but let’s just say I wouldn’t be above dying my hair red to get a shot at playing the live action character. Thanks for the support guys!

STAR SQUAD: A Hunger Games Fan Film

In Latest, Project News | on March, 06, 2012 | by | 0 Comments

Fan Films hold a dear place in my heart.  I was an actor in the amazing Elfquest Fan Film Trailer last year and was mesmerized by the support and love that the Elquest fan community expressed in having the comic brought to life on the screen.  Which is why I am so excited to be a part of a fan film for a book series that I am a massive fan of: ‘HUNGER GAMES’.  My friend (the talented) Woody Tondorf and his writing partner (the equally talented) Caroline Framke have written a PHENOMENAL Fan Film called STAR SQUAD.  It is a completely original film that takes place towards the end of the 3rd book (Mockingjay) and extends the world to places you want to see (trust me) with both characters you know (ie. Gale, Johanna, Delly & more…) and original characters. I was lucky enough to be asked to play one of these original characters- the ‘Career’ weapon wielding badass CROLLO. Not only is the script ah-mazing, the team has secured the former ‘FIREFLY/ SERENITY’ sets for some of the shooting!

Since this is a fan film, however, we can’t make any money on the project so the only way to finance the production is through DONATIONS.  This is a labor of love for everyone involved so if you love Hunger Games like I do and want to be a part of a great project (there are rewards for donations), please head to the Indie GoGo campaign site.  Attached are some promotional pics that we all took in character- pretty amazing right?

PLEASE DONATE AND SHARE! We can’t do it without you!

“You don’t forget the face of the person who was your last hope.”

I was fortunate to be a part of a Digital LA panel about Twitter for Actors this February. Two of my favorite casting directors Marci Liroff and Heidi Levitt were amongst the great panelists who discussed the ins and outs of using twitter as an actor and the strategies you can use to help your career. check out the link for more details on what was discussed.

Thanks Digital LA and Kevin Winston for having me!
