The best way to shape a better future is to tell a kickass story about it.

My work as a writer / filmmaker is focused on creating compelling storyworlds about our near future to help us find awe, wonder and hope in a changing world. As a director hired to helm a bestselling book series, my work has focused on bringing the story and characters loved by the passionate fan base to life in the most visually exciting and emotionally resonant way possible.

I love big stories on big screens. I'm a cinematic child of Spielberg, J.J. Abrams and Ridley Scott. So I guess it makes sense that each of my projects showcases emotional, high stakes stories in elevated worlds infused with VFX and action. But... at the end of the day, it always comes down to character. Who connects us to the story. (My 15+ years as an actor helps me with that.)

As a creator, I'm inspired by science and the natural world, and have spent the past decade immersed in various science and technology topics such as quantum physics, neuroscience, artificial intelligence, and genetics, both out of curiosity and because I see these topics shaping our future... thus compelling stories waiting to be told... new stories that not only entertain but help us navigate an uncertain world.
